Corvus Mae Fogerty

Corvus Mae Fogerty likes to say she was "born in a blizzard," and she sees patterns everywhere. Although her small, intense works on paper are meticulously crafted and expertly drawn, she came to art making late in life, first to earn some extra money, then at the urging of a therapist. Fogerty fills the page with dense, often foreboding shapes that serve both to reflect her state of mind, and to offer relief from it. "It helps distract me," the artist says of her practice, which she regards as private and very personal. C.M. Fogerty joined Project Onward in 2008.
