Project Onward presents a group exhibition highlighting one of the most ancient and versatile artistic mediums: Ink. Known for its permanence, precision, and intense pigmentation, ink as an artistic medium was developed in ancient China and expanded upon during the Renaissance. We asked our artists to explore and experiment with India ink in their practice using a variety of techniques, and create works of art showcasing their artistic vision.
This show is sponsored by Twice Upon a String, which creates nature-inspired jewelry with upcycled instrument strings. Twenty percent funds music and art therapy programs for nonprofit organizations.
There's more to see
Project Onward believes we can inspire change by using art to promote empathy and reduce the stigma of mental illness and developmental disabilities. We seek to improve the self-image of artists by emphasizing the social and economic value of their work.
You can directly contribute to this belief and help improve the lives of each Project Onward artist by purchasing their work. Our online shop is open 24/7, and half of the sale for each original piece goes directly to the artist.
