Artist
Larry Chestnut b. 1980, Chicago, IL

Larry Chestnut is an artist possessed of great confidence and amazing technical skill. He is also an artist with autism, which causes Larry to revisit particular subjects with obsessive regularity. The daytime drama General Hospital is a favorite subject, along with police procedural programs like Law & Order and game shows like The Price Is Right. At Project Onward, Larry's ability to render what he sees with startling clarity has made him an expert portraitist. Besides Larry's artistic talents, he is an avid self-taught chef, enjoys music and photography, and has an extensive knowledge of cars. Larry's work with Gallery 37, Chicago's youth arts program, led him to Project Onward in 2009. Larry is 30 years old and lives with his family in the Wicker Park neighborhood of Chicago.
