Between Us LIVE

Between Us brings together neurodiverse artists from the sister cities of Chicago and Osaka through a unique mail-based exchange. Artists at each studio began individual works that were then sent overseas to be completed by a peer, resulting in shared artworks that merge distinct visual languages, cultural perspectives, and lived experiences.

Each piece serves as a conversation across borders, bridging distance, language, commonality and difference while celebrating creativity as a universal form of connection. Between Us highlights collaboration, collective authorship, and the vital contributions of artists with disabilities within the global contemporary art landscape.
