The Album Show: Volume II

Music’s power is impossible to understate: one song can make us feel seen, stir up old memories, or bring us to tears. Those intense, personal emotions bond us to certain artists and their bodies of work. At Project Onward, it’s clear from the frequent karaoke parties and general outbursts of singing around the studio how vital music is to our community. So, for this collection, our artists have taken a bunch of beloved albums and interpreted them in their unique styles. The Album Show celebrates musical and visual art’s shared ability to echo at the heart level. It explores the inseparable tie between the sounds of iconic albums and their unforgettable covers.

As part of the Bridgeport Art Center’s Open Studio series, we install a new exhibit every month. Our gallery transforms every 3rd Friday and gets kicked off with a festive opening reception! Enjoy great art, music, and a drink (or two) with us on March 17th!
